THE FIRST ASTAFIEV READINGS
|
The First Astafiev Readings were held in Perm in May 2002. They were initiated by the Memorial Center for the History of Political Repression “Perm-36”, Viktor Astafiev was the most active member of its Board. The Readings dated close for the writer’s birthday and were devoted to the main activities of the Center “Perm-36”.
The public of the First Readings was rather provincial, nevertheless there were over 50 participants, and the audience counted more than 300 people.
All the texts of the First Readings were published with to the financial support of Perm region administration.
